For nearly 20 years, six days a week, I have walked through this little village with our guests. Every single visit, we are welcomed with the same warmth, the same smiles, and the same genuine Greek hospitality.![]()

Today was an emotional day.![]()
I surprised Gianna at her home, where Elefteria was visiting too. As we stood together, they looked at me and said:![]()
"Koritsi mas... for so many years you have been bringing visitors to our village. We love you dearly." ❤️![]()

I honestly had tears in my eyes.![]()
The truth is... the feeling is completely mutual.![]()

Over the years, Gianna, Elefteria, Aris and Thassie have become part of the heart and soul of Back to the Roots. They have welcomed hundreds guests with open arms, homemade treats, flowers from the garden, warm smiles and stories that no guidebook could ever tell.![]()

Many of you will remember Elefteria, who always welcomes everyone with her homemade cookies. Sadly, her beloved husband Aris passed away suddenly last year. Many of you will also remember Gianna's husband, Thassie, who was always waiting for us with a big smile and beautiful flowers from his garden. He too is deeply missed.![]()

Last winter, together with so many of you, we created a beautiful photo collage for Gianna. She was overwhelmed with emotion.![]()
